Bioactivity Comments
The antiparasite activity of DSM265 has been evaluated in vitro for all Plasmodium lifecycle stages [5]. Asexual blood stage activity was examined using a panel of culture-adapted P. falciparum strains, with no evidence of reduced potency against drug resistant strains (EC501-4nM). DSM265 is inactive against the sexual blood stage and in the mosquito.
