Target id: 2321

Nomenclature: Interleukin-1 receptor, type II

Family: Immunoglobulin-like family of IL-1 receptors

Quaternary Structure: Subunits
Interleukin 1 receptor, type II (Ligand-binding subunit)
IL-1 receptor accessory protein (Other subunit)
Immunopharmacology Comments
Interleukin-1 receptor, type II (IL-1RII) is a heterodimer containing the ligand binding interleukin 1 receptor, type II (IL1R2) subunit and the IL-1 receptor accessory protein (IL1RAP). Unlike IL-1RI, IL-1RII is unable to transduce a signal in response to ligand binding, acting instead as a decoy receptor for its ligands IL-1α, IL-1β.
