General Comments
LINGO1 is a large membrane associated protein which is important for the function of the nervous system. It is an essential negative regulator of myelination, and is implicated in the inhibition of axon regeneration [1-2,4]. Interactions with a variety of different co-factors and co-receptors facilitates LINGO1 effects on the regulation of biological processes involved in neuronal survival, axon regeneration, oligodendrocyte differentiation, or myelination processes in the CNS.
