Target Id 3007
Nomenclature pyruvate kinase L/R
Genes PKLR (Hs), Pklr (Mm), Pklr (Rn)
Ensembl ID ENSG00000143627 (Hs), ENSMUSG00000041237 (Mm), ENSRNOG00000020420 (Rn)
UniProtKB AC P30613 (Hs), P12928 (Rn)
EC number
2.7.1.40
ATP + pyruvate <=> ADP + phosphoenolpyruvate
Allosteric modulators
etavopivat (Positive) pEC50 6.9 [2]
mitapivat (Positive) [1]
Comment The protein products of the PKLR gene are isozymes that catalyse the transphosphorylation of phohsphoenolpyruvate into pyruvate and ATP. This activity is the rate-limiting step of glycolysis.
