Comment

XPR1/SLC53A1 is a phosphate carrier which appears to play a role in bone and tooth mineralization. It is ubiquitously expressed [2,5]. The pathological consequences of defective SLC53A1 expression in the brain [4] and kidney [1] have been reported.
