Comment TMEM165/SLC64 is a putative 6TM intracellular membrane protein. Mutations in the protein are associated with congenital disorder of glycosylation. It has been suggested to be essential for milk production in the mammary gland [6]. TMEM165 deficiency (via siRNA knockdown) causes Golgi glycosylation defects in transfected HEK cells [3].
