The precise MMOA of phensuximide has not been fully resolved. The drug has been reported to Inhibit the activity of the voltage-dependent T-type calcium channels Cav3.1 (CACNA1G), Cav3.2 (CACNA1H) and Cav3.3 (CACNA1I) and also inhibits depolarization-induced accumulation of cyclic AMP and cyclic GMP (as demonstrated in mouse cerebral cortex slices [1]) |
