Comment: Mosedipimod (EC-18) is a monoacetyldiglyceride that is being investigated for anti-inflammatory potential [1]. It is a synthetic form of a major constituent isolated from the antlers of Sika deer. In preclinical studies the anti-inflammatory effects were determined to be associated with iNOS suppression [3]. EC-18 has also been shown to attenuate IL-4 production [4]. We show the chemical structure without specified stereochemisrty to represent the racemic mixture. Note that CHEMBL157366 represents a specific stereoisomer of this compound.
