Summary of Clinical Use Click here for help
Fusidic acid is approved by a number of countries, and is available in topical and oral formulations. It is indicated for the treatment of primary and secondary skin infections caused by sensitive strains of Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus spp. and Corynebacterium minutissimum. For US application fusidic acid is still under evaluation, for acute bacterial skin and skin structure infections [1] and prosthetic joint infections [3].
