The functional IL-27 receptor is a heterodimer of the ligand binding IL-27 receptor α subunit (IL27RA) and the IL-6 receptor signal transducing subunit (IL6ST) [2]. IL-27 receptor acts via the Th1 cell-specific transcription factor T-bet (TBX21) to control expression of interferon γ, and Th1 commitment [1]. |
