Comment ABHD2 is an acylglycerol lipase of the endocannabinoid system. In human spermatozoa ABHD2 activity (depletion of 2-arachidonoylglycerol in the sperm membrane) results in calcium influx via the calcium channel CatSper1, which leads to sperm activation [10].
