The ghrelin receptor has been shown to dimerize with the following receptors: dopamine D<sub>1</sub> receptor <Reference id=19873/>, dopamine D<sub>2</sub> receptor <Reference id=19874/>, melanocortin MC<sub>3</sub> receptor <Reference id=19875/>, serotonin 5-HT<sub>2c</sub> receptor <Reference id=19876/>, thus affecting signalling. The promitotic actions of ghrelin in pancreatic tumour cells can be abolished by the PI3-kinase inhibitor wortmannin <Reference id=3466/>. Several studies have shown constitutive production of inositol phosphate and components of other signalling pathways in cells expressing the ghrelin receptor <Reference id=3466/><Reference id=19872/>.",
