Clinical Use: Used in the treatment of multiple cancers including chronic myelogenous leukemia and gastrointestinal stromal tumours (GIST). Adjuvant imatinib is recommended for KIT-mutated GISTs. The clinically administered form is the Imatinib mesilate (mesylate) salt (PubChem CID 123596).
