Summary of Clinical Use
Used to treat pain, especially musculoskeletal pain (as the citrate salt). Also used to treat all forms of Parkinsonism (as the hydrochloride salt).
Mechanism Of Action and Pharmacodynamic Effects
Orphenadrine has central anticholinergic action and low level antihistamine action. Due to the polypharmacology of this drug we have not mapped it to a primary target.
