Comment: Cefmatilen (S-1090) is an orally-active cephalosporin antibacterial hat was first reported in the mid 1990s [2]. It is highly active against a variety of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including Streptococcus pyogenes and Neisseria gonorrhoeae in vitro.
