| Immunopharmacology Comments |
| CD66e is included in GtoImmuPdb because of its role in pathogen recognition. |
| General Comments |
|
CD66e (CEACAM5) is an epithelially expressed molecule required for cell adhesion, cellular migration, pathogen binding and activation of signaling pathways. This protein contains an immunoglobulin (Ig)-like domain that resembles the antibody variable domain, that has been coined the 'V-set domain'. The genes for all human V-set domain containing proteins are listed in HGNC gene group 590. |
