Bioactivity Comments
The in vitro antibacterial activity of fleroxacin is reported to be similar to norfloxacin and ofloxacin but slightly inferior to ciprofloxacin. It has potent activity against a number of Gram-negative spp. (MIC of ≤0.025 μg/m for Neisseria gonorrhoeae) and also demontrates good activity against certain Gram-postive microorganisms (MIC of 0.1 μg/ml for Staphylococcus aureus) [2].
