Bioactivity Comments
AZD8055 inhibitory effect (IC50) of the transcriptional complexes mTORC1 and mTORC2 are reported as 27nM and 24nM respectively [6]. mTORC1 acts as a nutrient/energy/redox sensor and controls protein synthesis and has been related to ageing in experiments using model organisms [4-5,7]. mTORC2 regulates cellular metabolism and the cytoskeleton [8] and may play a role in the regulation of autophagy [2,9]. AZD8055 inhibits infection by SARS-CoV-2 in cell assays with IC50 3-60 nM depending on cell type [3].
