Temafloxacin (sold as Omniflox) was approved for clinical use in the US, but was removed from the market within months, in response to the occurrence of severe and fatal adverse reactions. Omniflox was approved to treat lower respiratory tract infections, genital and urinary infections like prostatitis, and skin infections. It is not authorised by the EMA.
