Mechanism Of Action and Pharmacodynamic Effects Click here for help
Inhibits erythrocyte phosphodiesterase, leading to an increase in erthrocyte cAMP activity. This leads to a resistance to deformity in the erythrocyte membrane. Milronine also reduces plasma fibrinogen concentrations and increases fibrinolytic activity.
