| Sermorelin is used to treat growth hormone deficiency or growth failure in children. Marketing approval for this drug has been discontinued in the US. Individual national approval agencies may continue to grant marketing authorisation. |

| Sermorelin mimics endogenous GHRH activity, binding to and activating the growth hormone releasing hormone receptor leading to the release of growth hormone from pituitary gonadotropes. |
