Summary of Clinical Use
Used to treat glioblastoma multiforme and melanoma. This drug is additionally used to treat oligodendroglioma in some countries.
Mechanism Of Action and Pharmacodynamic Effects
As a DNA alkylating (cross-linking) agent, temozolomide treatment irreversibly interferes with DNA replication, RNA transcription and general disruption of nucleic acid function.
