SB-656933 was evaluated in Phase 2 clinical trial aiming to reduce neutrophil-mediated airway inflammation in cystic fibrosis patients (NCT00903201 [3]), and Phase 1 for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD; ). A Phase 2 study in ulcerative colitis patiients (NCT00748410) was terminated.
