Comment MFSD2B/SLC59A has been suggested to be a sphingosine 1-phosphate transporter in erythropoietic cells [2]. It is expressed in brain, intestine, kidney, liver, lung, mammary gland, and prostate [1]; relatively low expression in BAT (brown adipose tissue), but upregulated during cold-induced thermogenesis [1]. Subcellular locations: plasma membrane [4] and ER [1].
