The RAF (acronym for rapidly accelerated fibrosarcoma) kinases are a family of related Ser/Thr kinases that are important for normal cellular and physiological processes, but are also associated with oncogenesis [6]. They are components of the Ras-Raf-MAPK signalling pathway.
