| Bioactivity Comments |
| Ribaxamase hydrolyses penicillin and cephalosporin (β-lactam) antibacterials in vitro [1]. The same study found that ribaxamase degraded ceftriaxone in the gastrintestinal tract of dogs and protected the microbiome of pigs from ceftriaxone-induced changes. The results from two Phase 2 clinical studies (NCT02419001 and NCT02473640) confirmed that ribaxamase also degrades ceftriaxone in the human intestine [3]. |
