Expression of GPR153 was not detected in the rat hippocampus, brain stem, ventromedial and lateral hypothalamus or basolateral amygdaloidal nucleus examined by in situ hybridization [1]. GPR153 expression pattern was found to be specific to the grey matter but lacking in the white matter [1]. |

GPR153 is a cerebellar target of the Gli1 transcription factor, which is involved in the maintenance and proliferation of grabule neuron precursor cells in the cerebellum [1]. |
