Gating Inhibitor Comments
The calmodulin binding site of CNGA2 is functionally silent in heteromeric CNG channels. Feedback-inhibition of the native olfactory CNG channel by calcium-calmodulin (CaM) is conferred by the CNGA4 and CNGB1b subunits [1,3-4,18-19,24].
