Compound class: Synthetic organic
Comment: CWHM12 is a pan αv integrin antagonist . It was used to determine that αv integrin activation regulates fibrosis in models of organ fibrosis. These findings suggest that targeting all αv integrins may have clinical utility in the treatment of a broad range of fibrotic diseases. The S enantiomer of CWHM12 is the bioactive form; the R enantiomer does not inhibit any of the five αv-containing integrins in vitro.
Structurally, CWHM12 is a small-molecule RGD peptidomimetic antagonist in which the arginine (R) mimetic is a cyclic guanidino-substituted phenyl group and the aspartic acid (D) mimetic is a phenyl-substituted β amino acid. These two residues are linked by a glycine (G).
Ligand Activity Visualisation Charts
These are box plot that provide a unique visualisation, summarising all the activity data for a ligand taken from ChEMBL and GtoPdb across multiple targets and species. Click on a plot to see the median, interquartile range, low and high data points. A value of zero indicates that no data are available. A separate chart is created for each target, and where possible the algorithm tries to merge ChEMBL and GtoPdb targets by matching them on name and UniProt accession, for each available species. However, please note that inconsistency in naming of targets may lead to data for the same target being reported across multiple charts.✖
