| Faropenem is available in a number of countries, including Japan and India, and used for the treatment of infections of the urinary tract (UTIs), respiratory tract, and the skin [1]. In 2006, the US FDA issued a non-approval letter for faropenem medoxomil with a recommendation for further clinical evaluation [3]. Faropenem, in its prodrug form, demonstrates high oral bioavailability. |
