GtoPdb Ligand ID: 13336

Synonyms: TYA018
Compound class: Synthetic organic
Comment: TYA-018 is an histone deacetylase 6 (HDAC6) inhibitor [1-2]. It was developed for potential to treat heart failure with preserved ejection (HFpEF), based on evidence of HDAC6 inhibitor efficacy in a genetic cardiomyopathy model [2]. Mechanistically, TYA-018 restores expression of genes/proteins that are involved in the observed extracellular matrix remodeling and mitochondrial dysfuntion in disease model cardiac tissues.
