The calcium salt of amphomycin, in a combined ophthalmic and topical formulation with kanamycin and hydrocortisone, has US FDA approval for veterinary use. This medication is indicated for the treatment of acute otitis externa, furunculosis, folliculitis, pruritus, anal gland infections, erythema, decubital ulcers, superficial wounds, and superficial abscesses caused by susceptible bacteria. |
