Comment: SFI003 is a small molecule inhibitor of serine and arginine rich splicing factor 3 (SRSF3) [1]. It appears to induce neddylation-dependent SRSF3 degradation. SRSF3 has been reported to exhibit oncogenic roles in colorectal cancer, promoting the proliferation and metastasis (migration) of colorectal cancer cells. SFI003 modulates the SRSF3/DHCR24/ROS axis to mediate a ROS-induced apoptotic cell death in colorectal cancer models.
