Comment: OBT076 is an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) that comprises a fully human IgG1 anti-CD205 antibody conjugated by a cleavable linker to the cytotoxic maytansinoid microtubule disruptor DM4 [2]. It was designed for anti-tumour potential in solid and liquid cancers [1,3]DM4.
Bioactivity Comments
OBT076 induces killing of CD205+ve cells. This includes the target tumour cells, and also includes a subpopulation of immunosuppressive dendritic cells. So in addition to a direct anti-tumour activity, OBT076 may also reactivate an anti-tumour immune response. The ADC binds human and cynomolgus CD205 with comparable potency, but does not cross react with rat or mouse CD205.
