Bioactivity Comments
APL-2301 demonstrates antibacterial activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria in vitro. The minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) for activity against clinical isolates of carbapenem-resistant A. baumannii (CRAB) is in the range of 2-4 μg/ml with further MIC data reported in [2]. In the same study, APL-2301 and meropenem were found to have synergistic antibacterial activty against NDM-1 producing bacterial strains.
