Comment: Leptomycin B is a bacterial (Streptomyces sp.) metabolite with antifungal activity. It has reported activity as a selective inhibitor of nuclear export (SINE) via inhibition of exportin 1 (XPO1) [2]. This latter activity is associated with anti-tumour effects.
