| BioAtla have developed a conditionally active anti-ROR2 antibody drug conjugate (referred to as BA3021 or CAB-ROR2-ADC) as a novel antineoplastic. It is claimed that the binding of BA3021 to ROR2 is conditional upon factors that are present in the tumour microenvironment (due to the Warburg effect), and that BA3021-ROR2 binding does not occur in normal tissues. The full mechanism of action of BA3021 has not yet been fully disclosed (Feb 2019). BA3021 is being evaluated as a monotherapy in Phase 1/2 clinical trial NCT03504488, in patients with various solid tumour types, including non-small cell lung cancer, triple negative breast cancer and soft tissue sarcoma. BA3021 was granted FDA orphan designation for soft tissue sarcoma in December 2018 [1]. IMGT list this antibody construct with ID 883. |
