In September 2019, an oral formulation of lascufloxacin hydrochloride (Lasvic®) was granted approval by the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) for the treatment of otorhinolaryngological and respiratory tract infections, including community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) [2].
