Potential to modulate lipid dysregulation in obesity-related diseases is suggested by sulforaphane-mediated inhibition of the sterol regulatory element-binding protein (SREBs) transcription factors which regulate the expression of genes that are involved in fatty acid and cholesterol biosynthesis [2].
