Bioactivity Comments
MC1568 inhibits immunoprecipitated human HDAC4 (from cell lystates from human ZR-75.1 breast cancer cells) by 55% (5 μM), but is inactive vs. immunoprecipitated human HDAC1. Unsurprisingly, it has no effect on HDAC1-mediated apoptosis, granulocytic differentiation, and cell cycle arrest in U937 acute myeloid leukemia (AML) cells [1].
