Bioactivity Comments |
The antibacterial spectrum of flurithromycin is similar to that of erythromycin, with activity against most Gram-positive bacteria and select Gram-negative bacteria [2-4]. The MIC in vitro for Streptococcus spp. is 0.012-0.195 μg/ml and 0.049 μg/ml for Neisseria gonorrhoeae [4]. The compound does not have significant antibacterial activity against Enterobacteriaceae and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. |
