Bioactivity Comments
Epetraborole has activity in vitro against multidrug-resistant Gram-negative bacteria spp., including Pseudomonas aeruginosa (MIC90 of 1-4 μg/ml) and Enterobacteriaceae bearing NDM-1 and KPC carbapenemases (MIC90 of 0.5-2μg/ml) [2]. Epetraborole also demonstrates activity against Mycobacterium abscessus both in vitro (MIC of 0.28-0.56 μM) and in a mouse model of M. abscessus infection [1].
