Summary of Clinical Use ![]() |
In the UK parenteral teicoplanin (Targocid) is indicated for treatment of complicated skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections, hospital/community acquired pneumonia, complicated urinary tract infections, infective endocarditis, peritonitis associated with continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD), or bacteraemia that occurs in association with any of these indications. Oral teicoplanin is effective in the treatment of pseudomembranous colitis and Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhoea [2]. |
