Cinoxacin was withdrawn from use in European jurisdictions in 2018 following the EMA's recommendation on the use of quinolone antibacterials [1]. An oral preparation was marketed by Eli Lilly in the US (under the trade name Cinobac®) for the treatment of urinary tract infections but has been discontinued.
