Summary of Clinical Use Click here for help
Tipranavir was used in the treatment of HIV-1 infection, although its use has largely been superceded in the clinic. In use, it is prescribed alongside ritonavir (to inhibit CYP3A4-mediated tipranavir metabolism) and other HIV antiviral drugs.
