Effective against many types of cancer, including ovarian carcinoma, lung, head and neck, endometrial, esophageal, bladder, breast and cervical cancers. Also, central nervous system or germ cell tumors and osteogenic sarcoma. Carboplatin is also used to prepare patients for stem cell or bone marrow transplant.
