Phase 2I clinical trials have been completed in ALS patients, and although the compound was well tolerated it failed to demonstrate a significant increase in survival versus placebo in patients receiving riluzole therapy. Phase 2 trials in SMA, diabetic neuropathy, non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) and chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy have also been completed.
