Finerenone is indicated for the treatment of adult patients with chronic kidney disease associated with type 2 diabetes. It can be used to reduce the risk of sustained estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) decline, kidney failure, cardiovascular death, non-fatal myocardial infarction and hospitalisation for heart failure in these patients.
