Immunopharmacology Comments
E-52862 has been used to examine the potential of σ1 receptor (σ1R) antagonism as an adjunct to opioid therapy for neurogenic/neuropathic and inflammatory pain [4-5,7-9,12,16]. It is proposed that antagonism of σ1R will enhance opioid antinociception without increasing opioid-related adverse effects [3,11,14-15].
