Comment: Meropenem is a parenterally delivered, broad-spectrum carbapenem antibiotic. It is active against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, and is effective against aerobic and anaerobic pathogens including Klebsiella, E. coli, Enterococcus, Clostridium spp.
